Assoc Prof Annette Beautrais wins American Award

RESEARCHER WINS AMERICAN AWARD prof-annette-beautrais.jpg

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has given its annual research award to Otago University associate professor Annette Beautrais. The award, in recognition of her contributions to suicide research, will be presented at the foundation's annual fundraising dinner in New York in May. Prof Beautrais is the main investigator with the Canterbury Suicide Project. In 2006 she received the Edwin Shneidman Award from the American Association of Suicidology.
